Laser Etchings
Fewell Monument began utilizing the laser etching process in 1995, becoming pioneers in this new application for laser technology and industry leaders in this emerging market. The laser etching process is permanent (similar to sandblasting), changing the surface finish of the granite to create contrast on the surface of the monument. For the greatest visual contrast we highly recommend utilizing laser etching on only the darkest, most uniform of granite surfaces. Our Premium Black granite, which is chosen for its dark color, has that uniform consistency that you need for the laser etching process.
